Progress

The left picture was taken in 2008 the one on the right is from 2011

I wanted to put together a post that shows the progress I've made in the past few years.  Along the way a few of the big things that have helped me are getting photoshop, using actions, and learning to shoot in Manual.

I still have lots to learn!  I'm still trying to figure out my photography "style".  Also I'm having a hard time with skin tone.  Things look great when I see them in photoshop but then when I see them on facebook they don't look as good.  I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong!  If anyone has any advice I would love to hear it!

Ace-9 Months!

Ace's 9 month photo shoot!  Ace's Mom is a good friend of mine and by far my best client!  His mom and I were pregnant together, in labor together (texting the whole time), and had our babies about 20 minutes apart.  We even recovered 2 rooms away from each other at the hospital.  The day before we had our babies we walked around the mall together trying to induce labor (obviously it worked!)  It's fun seeing the two of them go through the different stages together and even more fun photographing it!

Jensine-Senior Portraits

While I was visiting Utah this past November I was able to do a photo shoot of my gorgeous baby sister Jensine.  I can't believe she's graduating this year!  We did the photo shoot on 25th street in Ogden.  If you know Ogden at all you know its not the safest place to be after 5 pm.  It was a little scary but Jeni and I like to live on the wild side so it was ok.  At one point a druggie lady followed us around whispering "Sexy, Sexy."  We turned the corner and walked into the middle of a drug deal.  It was a bit awkward to say the least!  At that point you just put your head down and go about your business!
